Cups issue on zypper up

ianseeks-4
Hi

This seems regular occurrence for me with cups updates (see below) although it
doesn't seem to affect it working. Does anyone know who needs to know about
it?

Regards

Ian

 (48/48) Installing: cups-2.2.3-211.1.x86_64
............................................................................................................
[done]
Additional rpm output:
Failed to try-restart cups-lpd@.service: Unit name cups-lpd@.service is
missing the instance name.
See system logs and 'systemctl status cups-lpd@.service' for details.

# systemctl status cups-lpd@.service
Failed to get properties: Unit name cups-lpd@.service is missing the instance
name.

As you are using TW, you should post this question in the factory mail
list, IMHO. Here it is doubtful anyone in the know will see it.

If it were Leap, I would create a bugzilla.

Thanks. Yep, realised my mistake a few minutes after posting hence the follow
up email to ignore.

If it's TW, use 'zypper dup --no-allow-vendor-change' instead of zypper up.

I see those, too.  They are harmless.  It tries to restart a (sub) service you
don't use.  Those @-services allow for different configurations, like openvpn
or (in my case) tinc.

woodstock:~ # systemctl status tinc@sst
[hidden email] - Tinc net sst

If you don't use/define any such config, you'll get such an error:

woodstock:~ # systemctl status tinc@
Failed to get properties: Unit name tinc@.service is missing the instance name.

I'm using the config as downloaded from TW printing repo and hence my query to
see if it needs looking at even though it doesn't seem to affect it, i was
just wondering if the base config is using a redundant or incorrect setting.
