Hi Ralf,
in /etc/sysconfig/sw_management you can change PREFERRED_SW_MANAGER_STACK
to "opensuse". It does not install automatically, but shows an icon in the
system tray.
You may run "smart update" (givent you installed the smart package manager,
e. g. from software.opensuse.org/repositories/smart) as a cron job, and
"smart upgrade --dump > /tmp/upgradeable" afterwards; the file can be
mailed to you.
